  5. The META NETWORK is an international dial-up computer conferencing network that
  6. runs under XENIX 386 and the CAUCUS computer conferencing and e-mail program.
  7. Both open and private conferences are available. Over the six years it has been
  8. operating, open discussions on the META NETWORK have tended to focus on new
  9. technologies, economic development, education and technology, international
  10. business networking, electronic democracy, leadership, and management. Users
  11. log on from any computer anywhere using any standard modem and asynchronous
  12. communications software. There are eight direct dial lines and eight incoming
  13. lines that are available through international packet-switching data network.
  14. Individuals may join the META NETWORK as individuals. Special group rates are
  15. available to organizations for private conferencing space. TMN is also the host
  16. system for the CAUCUS Support and Development Network. Temporary guest IDs are
  17. available for demonstrations of CAUCUS.
